B.ED ADMISSION MDU
Maharshi Dayanand University, ab initio established as Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976 with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand. It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India – for central Govt. grants in Feb. 1983.
Selecting a university for B.Ed admission
With privatisation in Education, lots of private and deemed universities have opened up their campus in India. Many of these universities are offering quality education. Have proper infrastructure, do everything as per UGC norms. There are few universities which do not even have a proper campus. The strength of faculty is very low. Candidates should avoid such universities for taking admission. Generally speaking, government universities have better credibility. Thus, one should try to get admission in a state government university. For instance, CRSU Jind can be a good option for candidates living in Delhi or around, like Gurgaon.
Another thing that one should keep in mind – the university should be approved by NCTE. If the B.Ed is not approved by NCTE then it is not recognised by the government. Consequently, it is not valid for a government job. In addition, CBSE affiliated schools will also not accept it.
MDU B.Ed admission process
All things considered, one can choose CRSU for taking admission. Firstly- there is no entrance exam in this university. Of course, the admission is merit based. The university prepares the merit on the marks scored in bachelors.
Secondly- there are lots of B.Ed colleges in Gurgaon. You need not go to the far towns of Haryana for CRSU B ED course. Tens of college in Gurgaon are affiliated to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University. No doubt, distance is a big consideration when joining any course.
Finally, the most important consideration- the whole process of B.Ed admission is online.

For the academic session, 2017 -18 the institutes offering B.Ed have open their registration. Candidate can do the entire process of admission on their own. Better still, they can avail the facilities of the Institute. These institutes provide proper guidance right from the beginning of the admission till the final exam. It is important to note that you may find many fly by institutes running from small offices. They claim to have a lot of students and good credibility. But in reality, the number of students studying with them is also very less. They do not have proper expertise and infrastructure to give you guidance. Many a time, it is seen that such institutes take the full money in advance and then do not register the students with the university. The student does not come to know about such malpractice. It is only at the time of exam that the student faces the fact.
